NATCHEZ — Services for Marion Prentiss Cager, 91, of Natchez, formerly of New Orleans, who died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christian Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. John Scott Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Cager was born Oct. 31, 1917, in New Orleans, the daughter of Albert and Elouise Pierre Prentiss. She was a retired food service technician for the Catholic Schools in New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mitchell Cager Sr.; one daughter, Barbara C. Forbs; two sons, Clifford and Dennis Cager; and two grandsons, Rynell Bijou and Quntrell Cager Jr.
Survivors include three daughters, Elouise C. Richardson and husband, Joseph, Betty J. Cager and Carolyn C. Jones; four sons, Mitchell Cager Jr. and wife, Patricia, Darrell Cager and wife, Stephanie, all of New Olreans, Gary Cager and wife, Paulette, of Fresno, Texas and Paul Cager and wife, Sharon, of Natchez; one sister, Naomi Prentiss; a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; a lovable daughter-in-law, Delcenia Cager of Ferriday; and a number of other relatives and friends.
