RACELAND, La. — Services for Cletus Martin Solar, 84, of Raceland, La., who died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Nativity Church. Mr. Solar will be cremated.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and from 8 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

He is the son of Sidney and Mildred Cantrelle Solar and a native of Donaldsville, La. Mr. Solar was a World War II veteran and was active in the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was a member of St. Mary’s Nativity Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Jennings Solar; one son, Thomas D. Solar; three daughters, Mildred Sexton and husband Ronny, Janice Kline and husband James and Phyllis Beard and husband Michael; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
