NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Floyd Glynn Diehl, 49, who died Dec. 7, 2012, in Little Rock, Ark., after a long illness, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2012, in Stratton Chapel at First Presbyterian Church in Natchez.
Burial will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at the Tylertown City Cemetery in Tylertown.

Glynn was born in Little Rock, grew up in Natchez and graduated from South Natchez-Adams High School in 1981. He attended Belhaven College and the University of Mississippi. He loved the state history of Mississippi and the local history of Mississippi. His knowledge of history served him well for more than 20 years during his employment in the hospitality industry while working at Natchez Deluxe Tours, as director of Natchez Pilgrimage Tours and as a carriage driver for Southern Carriage Tours.
Glynn personally interacted with thousands of visitors to Natchez through the years and was a great host for his hometown. In 2008, he moved to Starkville and was the manager of The Veranda restaurant. Glynn’s exuberance for life, intelligence and quick wit were an enjoyment for his family, friends and any fellow fan of the Ole Miss Rebels, New Orleans Saints or Saint Louis Cardinals.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Holmes Diehl of Natchez; his father, E.S. “Bill” Diehl of Memphis, Tenn.; and one sister, Sky Diehl of Pensacola, Fla.
Special and dear to his heart, he leaves Kristen Ater Pate and husband, Adam, and their daughter, Aubrey, of Monroe, La.; one sister, Eloise Diehl Leffingwell and husband, Don, of Little Rock; one niece, Kelly McNeese and husband, Jake, of Hurley; and a number of lifelong friends.
