BROOKHAVEN — Services for Dontry Porter, 37, of Tucker, Ga., who died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, in Marrero, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander Junior High School auditorium.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven under the direction of Tyler Funeral Home in Brookhaven.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Porter was born Feb. 18, 1972, in Brookhaven, the son of Oscar Porter and Barbara Craig Porter. He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He also attended Nicholls State in Thibodaux, La. He was employed by Trans Ocean Deepwater Drilling Company as a floor hand.
Survivors include his wife, Jonna Jeanette Mason Porter; one son, Cristian D. Porter of Tucker; one brother, Potasco Porter of Vicksburg; and two sisters, Devine Love and Devonda Porter, both of Brookhaven.
