MARKSVILLE, La. — Services for Joseph Didier “JD” St. Clergy Jr., 62, of Florida, who died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville with the Rev. Blake Deshautelle officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum No. 2 in Marksville under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a Christian wake service at 6 p.m. in the chapel.
Mr. St. Clergy was born July 4, 1947, in Marksville, the son of Joseph ”JD” St. Clergy Sr. and Shirley St. Clergy. He was a 1970 graduate of Louisiana State University and was employed as a banker for more than 30 years throughout Louisiana and Florida. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Karen F. St. Clergy; three sons, Kevin J. St. Clergy, W. “Scott” St. Clergy and Greg P. St. Clergy; his mother; one brother, Ralph St. Clergy; two sisters, Jeanne St. Clergy and Judy Deshautelle; and six grandchildren.
