NATCHEZ — Services for Ruth Bryant, 86, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at her residence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Purvis and the Rev. Everett Ellzey officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday, both at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bryant was born Jan. 11, 1926, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Dan Rushing and Amanda Leona Anders Rushing. She was a charter member of Stanton Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mark Bryant; one brother, Howard Rushing; and one sister, Elaine Davis.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Smith and husband, Harry, of Ocean Springs and Linda Hill and husband, Steve, of Natchez; two sons, Mark E. Bryant and wife, Verna, of Natchez and Danny C. Bryant and wife, Pat, of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Terrell Foster, Russell Brown, Ken Britt, Lucien Bullen, David Mize and Hugh Arnold.
