FAYETTE — Services for Samuel King Jr., 64, of Fayette, who died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Fayette.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. King was born May 21, 1948, in Natchez, the son of Lula K. White and Samuel King Sr. He was a retired educator and a member of the teachers association.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Glenda Kay King.
Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie King and LaKeysha Johnson; four sons, Stetson King, Samuel King III, Treon Johnson and Ja’Darius King; his mother; fiancée, Barbara Green; four sisters, Lucille Gaines, Linda Mack, Bobby Mosby and Brenda Lee; nine brothers, Robert King, Lionel King, Eddie King, Jerry King, Willie King, Kent King, Mark King, Kelvin King and Leroy Wells; eight grandchildren, Devion King Torrain, Danviona King, Shemar King, Shanjeanlyn King, Gloria King, Ava Johnson, Briana Arbuthnot and Jordan Arbuthnot; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
