FERRIDAY — Services for Carrie E. Bryant, 90, of Winnsboro, La., formerly of Ridgecrest, who died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at her residence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Ed Jelks officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro, La.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Bryant was born June 15, 1919, in Wisner, La., the daughter of A.D. Roberts and Jeredeen Risher Roberts. She was a retired school cafeteria worker and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.E. Bryant; her parents; one daughter, Kaye Bryant; and eight brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Clark and husband, Bill, of Winnsboro; one brother, Sammy Bryant of wife, Judy, of Church Hill; four grandchildren, Ben and Tim Clark of Monroe, La., Aaron Bryant of Natchez and Brandon Bryant and wife, Tanya, of Charleston, S.C.; and one sister, Edna Floyd of Jakin, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Ben Clark, Tim Clark, Aaron Bryant, Doug Emfinger, Blair Armstrong and Paul Harris.
The family extends special thanks to Hospice Care Resources and sitters, Lora Jones and Glenda McCartney.
