NATCHEZ — Services for Randy Thompson, 62, of Natchez, who died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at his residence, will be noon today at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darion Duckworth officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Thompson was born Jan. 11, 1947, in Louisiana, the son of Ralph Thompson and Merle Waldrup Miley. He enjoyed working for Petroleum Land Management and accounting for oil companies in Natchez for more than 30 years. His family would like to thank Malcolm Hull, Courtney Aldridge, Dr. Jeffrey Anderson, Natchez Regional Medical Center and staff and Hospice Compassus. He was preceded in death by his mother and his wife, Jean “Tootsie” Bahin Thompson.
Survivors include two daughters, Natalie Thompson of Omond by the Sea, Fla., and Jennifer Foley and husband, Bob, of Natchez; four grandchildren, Weston Arthur, William Arthur, Cameron Foley and Madeline Foley; two brothers, Greg Miley of Natchez and Ricky Miley and wife, Debbie, of Vidalia; niece Megan Miley and nephew Micah Miley, both of Vidalia, and special girl friend Jane Borne of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Jake Jones, Malcolm Hall, Roy Price, Gene Willard, Mike Crane and Darrell Strenge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jeffery Anderson, Courtney Aldridge, C.B. Jones Grey Miley, Rickey Miley and all of his friends at Callon Petroleum and The Corner Bar.
Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society or Hospice Compassus.
