Adams County Circuit Court Cases

Tuesday, Nov. 20:

Jessie McKnight pleaded guilty to simple robbery in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. After serving five years, the remaining balance is to served on five years post release supervision, which shall be supervised under the supervision of the MDOC. Full credit given for any time already served. Must pay all court costs, a prosecution fee of $200, and restitution of $2,425.66 upon release from the MDOC in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. It is also ordered that the 10-year sentence shall run concurrently with sentence in cause No. 12KR0183S.

Friday, Nov. 16:

Toby Surrena has his non-adjudication sentence revoked in Sanders’ court for failure to comply with violation of the non-adjudicated sentence. Sentenced to one year in the MDOC. Upon completion of the one-year sentence, the MDOC shall immediately transfer the defendant and is placed on two years formal probation under the supervision of the MDOC. Credit given for any time already served.

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Wednesday, Nov. 21:

Craig R. Clements, 25, charged with simple assault. Case remanded to files. After one year dismissed as stale case.
Robert E. Green, 60, found not guilty of disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer.
Danteria Johnson, 20, found not guilty of disturbing the peace – domestic violence.
Amos Grinnell, 28, charged with willful trespassing. Case remanded to files after consideration of other plea. Grinnell pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $444.

Monday, Nov. 26:

Jason Lorenzo Fulton, 34, found guilty of shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 30 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. To serve 30 days in jail. Banned from Southside Market. No fine set.
Shamira Firley, 24, found guilty of simple assault. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $644.
Priscilla Jackson 28, found guilty of shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $594.
Adrian Brown, 24, charged with disturbing the peace. Case dismissed as stale case. $100 cost only.
Brianna Brooks, 18, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $444.
Bianca Ramsey, 19, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $444.
Curtis Sanders, 38, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer. Satisfied with time served.
Jarrious Coach, 24, pleaded guilty to willful trespassing. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Holiday Apartments. Fine set at $294. Coach also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $494.

Johnny Seals Jr. pleaded guilty to simple assault – domestic violence (1st offense). Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $594.

Derek Jemayel Jarvis, 28, charged with disturbing the peace. Case remanded to inactive files for one year then dismissed at request of complaint. Jarvis also charged with disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Case remanded to inactive files for one year then dismissed at request of complaint.
Brian Williams, 18, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $344.
Irvin Rashaad Hawkins, 29, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $464.
Antonio C. Carter, 36, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct – failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days with 23 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for seven days served. Fine set at $269.
