WINNSBORO — Services for Charles Wesley Gayle, 49, of Newellton, La., who died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Burial will follow at New Light Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gayle was born July 30, 1963, in Mobile, Ala., the son of Clarence Bruce McCarty and Margo Jordan Waskey. He worked as a consultant in the oil field and was a member of the New Light Baptist Church. “Chuck” was an avid hunter and fisherman, a “keeper of junk and guns” and a great father and pawpaw.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother; one son, Charles Brandon Gayle; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Gayle and Jessica Gayle Berry; his stepfather, Alan Waskey; two brothers, James Timothy Owens and Daniel Dykes; one sister, Margaret Owens Marsh; one grandchild, John Bentley Gwin; one aunt, Pauline McCathy; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Franklin, Daniel Dykes, Robert Newman, Seth Berry, Timothy Owens and Tyler Gwin.
