FERRIDAY — Services for John David Keener, 55, of Woodville, Texas, who died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Oakley Cemetery in Gilbert, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Keener was born Aug. 4, 1954, in Ferriday, the son of Thomas Lester Keener and Vivian Lee Keener.
He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Gentry and Ester Keener; and maternal grandparents, Marvin and Bama Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Coffey Keener; his mother; two stepdaughters, Theresa Carbo and Carla Norman, both of New Orleans; two brothers, Thomas Clinton Keener and wife, Rose, of Corpus Christi, Texas and James Gentry Keener of White Hall, Mont.; two sisters, Carol Sanders and husband, Lee, of Monterey and Sharon Hinson of Waterproof; and two step-grandsons, Andrea and Christian.
Pallbearers will be George Lee, Chad Welch, Chris Sanders, Greg Lee, Homer Thompson and Don Michael.
