FERRIDAY — Services for Josephine White, 86, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evening Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Thess Baker Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Zion Hill Church Cemetery in Ferriday under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. White was born July 1, 1923, in Ferriday, the daughter of Lincoln and Lillie Ford White.

Survivors include four sons, Herman White of Baton Rouge, Joseph White and wife, Mary, Donald White and wife, Marilyn, and Jesse White, all of Ferriday; two daughters, Mary Tims and husband, Cedric, of Vidalia and Sherry Leonard and husband, Roy, all of Ferriday; one sister, Estella White of Ferriday; 17 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
