SMITHDALE — Funeral services for Mr. Charles F. Jordan, 87, of Smithdale, who died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of services at Franklin Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Nettles Family Cemetery in Smithdale under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Mr. Jordan was born March, 16, 1925, in Auburn, the son of Albert and Ruby McMorris Jordan. He was a member of Temple Hill Church of Christ. He worked as an electrician. He was a loving husband, daddy and granddaddy. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Talmadge J. Jordan and Wallace R. Jordan; three sisters, Estelle J. Freeman, Gladys J. Cowart and Maxine J. Kessler.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine N. Jordan; two sons, Joe M. Jordan and wife, Cheryl, of Lake Charles, La., and James D. Jordan and wife, Joann, of Vidalia; two daughters, Patricia J. Anderson and husband, Jim, and Sheila J. McFarland all of Vidalia; three brothers, Moody Jordan and wife, Martha, Joe Van Jordan and wife, Gayla, and Rodney Jordan; three sisters, Iola J. Coward, Opal J. Futch and husband, Ray, and Jeannette J. Bailey; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
