NATCHEZ — Services for Roberta R. Ellis, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Burial will follow at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Ellis was born in Natchez, the daughter of William Walter Wallace and Melissa Seals Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a devoted husband, Alexander H. Ellis; two daughters, Deloris Wade and Rosemary Davis; one son, Clifton Ellis; four brothers, Flynn, Harden, Nathaniel and Willie Wallace; and three sisters, Nannie Butcher, Lucille Causey and Neva Dumas.

Survivors include one daughter, Earvie McMillian and husband, Thurman, of Atlanta; three sons, Lloyd Ellis and wife, Angela, of Milwaukee, Wisc., Don Ellis and Alexander Ellis, both of Natchez; one sister, Ella Mae Smallwood of Natchez; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
