— Services for Israel “PD” Stewart Jr., 81, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at his residence, will be at noon Saturday at Milford Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Alsworth officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites at 6 p.m., and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Stewart was born Aug. 2, 1931, in Adams County, the son of Israel Stewart Sr. and Alice Brady Stewart. He was retired from McGehee Lumber Company as a fork life operator.
Mr. Stewart was a member of Clover Hill Lodge No. 13 A.F. & A.M., and a member of Milford Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Narvelena Stewart Butler.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Williams Stewart; two sons, Israel Stewart III and wife, Crystal, of Natchez and Robert Stewart of Jackson; five daughters, Leatha Johnson and husband, John, Yvonne Williams and husband, Jessie, Denise Morrison and husband, Randy, Jacqueline Brown and Nekeshia Collins and husband, Robert, of Greenwood; two grandsons who he reared as his own, Chedrick Stewart and Derrick Stewart and wife, Kristy, of Natchez; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Carrie Burr and husband, Johnnie; five sisters-in-law, Sadie Stewart and husband, Bernie, Mary Pitts and husband, Warren, Inez Gaylor and husband, Leroy, Hattie Sieber and Mary Alice Fountain and husband, Kenneth; three brothers-in-law, Dan Williams, the Rev. Carl Williams and wife, Ruby, and James Thomas Williams; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Masonic brothers.
