NATCHEZ — Services for Percy Johnson Sr., 79, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at Clearmount Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 11, 1930, in Jefferson County, the son of Pero Johnson Sr. and Annie Mae Bass Johnson. He was retired from Feltus Brothers Hardware.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Laura Logan and Mable Anderson; two brothers, Jimmy Johnson Sr., and Pero Johnson Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Albert Logan Sr., and Lehman Anderson; and two sisters-in-law, Camille Johnson and Sarah Johnson.
Survivors include eight daughters, Ernestine Johnson, Betty J. Johnson, Penny Johnson Dukes and husband, LeRoy, Lillian Johnson, Eileen Johnson, Fabian Johnson, Renee Johnson and Cassandra Johnson; 10 sons, Percy Johnson Jr., and wife, Karen, Neno Johnson and wife, Lynn, Larry Johnson and wife, Patricia, Kenny Watson and wife, Cathy, Earl Lee Lyles and wife, Lawanda, Frank Johnson and wife, Jennifer, Percy Johnson III, Kejuan Johnson, Derrick Johnson and Percy K. Johnson; stepmother, Annie L. Johnson; one sister, Carlene Brown and husband, Ralph; six brothers, Willie A. Johnson Sr., Pero E. Davis, Clarence Davis, James Davis and wife, Kathy, Michael Davis and wife, Anna, and Phillip L. Davis; one aunt, Rosie Perryman; a special friend, Irma Jean Cockerham; 40 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
