VIDALIA — Services for Mary Jones, 46, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Church with the Rev. Troy Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at New Daughters Church Cemetery in Wildsville, La., under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born Jan. 5, 1964, in Frogmore, La., the daughter of Alex and Lettie Carter Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Washington; and two sisters, Ollie Sasper and Jenny Washington.

Survivors include two children, Joseph and Jessica Jones, both of Natchez; four adopted children, Hakeem, Mikhail, Ja’Daruis and Kiara Jones, all of Natchez; six brothers, Jessie Washington, Albert Washington, Johnnie Washington and wife, Ellen, Glen Washington, Frederick Washington and Larry Washington, all of Ferriday; four sisters, Rosie L. Smith and husband, Bubba, of Olive Branch, Mary Johnson of Ferriday, Shirley Randall and husband, Vernon, and Diane Shannon, all of Vidalia; one grandchild, Akeelah Jones; two aunts, Estella Watson of Ferriday; Louarda Scott of Monroe, La.; one aunt-in-law, Celestine Joel; lifetime friend, Joseph Lee Jones; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
