NATCHEZ — Services for Edgar Woods, 66, of Natchez, who died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Milford Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Alsworth officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View under the direction of R.D. Mackel and Sons.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Woods was born July 19, 1946, in Adams County, the son of Rosie Lee Rice Woods and Robert Woods Sr.

He was a former employee of Natchez Holsum Bakery and J. M. Jones Lumber Company.

Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Larry “Cat” Woods.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Sarah Woods of Natchez; three sons, Walter Sarah and wife, Sherry, of Houston, Erick Woods and wife, Bridget, and Adrian Woods, all of Natchez; one daughter, Brenda Jackson of Fayette; mother, Rosie Lee Woods of Natchez; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virgie Montgomery of Natchez and Audrey M. Woods of Kenner, La.; six brothers, Albert Woods, Emmitt Woods, Andrew Woods and wife, Alma, Robert Woods Jr., Will T. Woods, all of Natchez, and Ernest Johnson and wife, Ollie Mae, of Chicago; and a number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
