BRANDON — A remembrance service for Pierce Allan Helms, age 2 1/2 months, who died at Arkansas Children’s Hospital from complications of heart surgery while waiting for a heart transplant, will be 11 a.m. today at Brandon United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Brandon Memorial Gardens next to his brother, Jonathan Wayne Dooley, under the direction of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his parents, B.J. and Leah Helms of Brandon; sister Kathryn Fulton; brothers, Payton Dooley and Patrick Helms; maternal grandparents, Travis and Margaret Fulton of Ferriday, and Kenny and Elaine Barr of Brandon; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Denise Helms of Brandon and Nancy Helms of Pearl; other survivors are his uncle, Mark and Ashley Helms and cousins, Trent Bates and Marcus Helms and many other loving family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be contributed to the Pierce Allan Helms Trust Account at any Trustmark National Bank. The Pierce Allan Helms Foundation is being established in his honor with the Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) Foundation of Mississippi, and all donations will be contributed to his foundation.
