NATCHEZ – Services for Annie Washington, 87, of Natchez, who died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. John L. Quinn officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family hour will be from 6 to 8 p.m., also today, at the church.

Mrs. Washington was born April 19, 1922, in Washington, Ga., the daughter of Willie Beck and Carrie Bolton Beck. She was a Methodist and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. Leon Washington; and one daughter, Rose Williams.

Survivors include four daughters, Bessie Parker of California, Carrie Cooper and husband, Charles, of Indiana, Brenda Strickland and Carolyn Pendleton, both of Natchez; five sons, Leon Washington Jr., and wife, Clara, and James Washington and wife, Veta, all of Indiana, Willie Washington and wife, Cynthia, Carl Washington and wife, Laura, and Calvin Washington, all of Natchez; 40 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie McCartha and Mabel Duncan, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; and other relatives and friends.
