NATCHEZ — Services for Lena Stampley Davis, 85, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Davis was born April 2, 1927, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Henry and Marie Stampley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Davis Sr.; one brother, Roosevelt Stampley; three sisters, Dorothy M. Ellis, Ora Nell Stampley and Jeanette Stampley; one daughter-in-law, Joyce M. Davis; and one son-in-law, Johnny Whitley, who she loved dearly.

Survivors include two daughters, Ollie D. Whitley and Loretha Davis; one son, Albert “Billy” Davis Jr.; two brothers, Marion Stampley and wife, Frances, and Everette Stampley; two brothers-in-law, Johnny Davis and wife, Sandra, and Junior Felton; three grandchildren, Robine Grant and husband, Edward, Candice Larkin and husband, Kelvin, and Albert Keith Davis and wife, Candice; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
