VIDALIA — A Monterey man was seriously injured after the vehicle he was driving Tuesday night crashed into a tree.
A Louisiana State Police spokesman said Robert Gray, 37, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina on northbound on Louisiana 129 near its intersection with Louisiana 565 when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, exited the road and collided with a tree at approximately 9:50 p.m.
Gray was transported to Riverland Hospital for treatment for wounds he received in the accident.
It is unknown if Gray was wearing a seat belt, and routine toxicology tests and charges are pending.
