NATCHEZ — Services for Larry S. “Poboy” Smith, 68, of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born Sept. 3, 1941, in Jefferson County, the son of Sidney Alex and Ruby Lee Pritchard Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tolar Stanley Smith and William “Billy” Alex Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Roberts Smith; four children, Greg Smith of Natchez, Wayne Smith and wife, Sandra, of McCall Creek, David Smith of Union Church and Lisa Smith Daye and husband, Brad, of Ferriday; four grandchildren, Carly Smith of Natchez, Drew Smith of Hattiesburg, Leah Smith of McCall Creek and Chris Smith of Ridgecrest; and one brother, Keith Smith and wife, Joy, of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
