NATCHEZ — Two teenagers who pleaded guilty to robbing a man outside of a Bishop Street house in January will spend virtually no time behind bars.
Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders sentenced Jamauri McNealy, 16, 305-A Watts Ave., on Thursday to five years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. After serving one day, McNealy will spend the remainder of his sentence on post-release supervision.
Sanders handed down a five-year sentence in MDOC to Derrick Green, 17, 5 Garden St., which she suspended. Green was placed on five years probation under the supervision of MDOC.
McNealy and Green, wielding a shotgun and a handgun respectively, reportedly robbed a man of the porch of an acquaintance of the man.
The boys reportedly took $150 in cash and a $200 gold chain from the victim and fled.
