BATON ROUGE (AP) — A personal care attendant from Ferriday has been arrested on charges she submitted false timesheets to her employer for work she didn’t perform.

Louisiana Attorney General James “Buddy” Caldwell’s office says 29-year-old Ullonda Rena Curry was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish jail last Friday on one count of Medicaid fraud.

Caldwell’s office says Curry submitted timesheets in which she claimed she had provided personal care services at the home of a Medicaid patient who was hospitalized at the time.

Curry allegedly received more than $2,100 from her employer for work she didn’t perform.

 

Personal care attendants provide caregiver services, such as cooking, grooming, and bathing, for disabled and elderly people.
