WOODVILLE — Services for Clara O. “Boo” Bell, 89, of Meridian, who died Monday, March 22, 2010, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, will be at 11 a.m. today at Woodville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Will Dowling and the Rev. Kenneth Owen officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Bell was born Aug. 29, 1920, the daughter of Daniel and Cora Lee Thompson O’Mire. She was a member of College Park United Methodist Church in Meridian.
Mrs. Bell was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher at Woodville United Methodist Church; a longtime member and Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star; a member of the Red Hat Club and Lamardi Club; and a proud supporter of the Natchez Little Theater.
Mrs. Bell also served as a WAC during World War II.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Bell Sr.; two brothers, Roy O’Mire and Dewey O’Mire; and one sister, Laverne Crawford.
Survivors include three stepsons, Frank Bell Jr., Douglas Bell and John Bell, all of Woodville; one brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Sandra O’Mire of Jackson; and 10 nieces and nephews, Rickie Crawford of Meridian, Kathi Gregory and Elizabeth Landrum, both of Birmingham, Ala., Danny O’Mire of Russelville, Ark., Mark O’Mire of Michigan, Pat O’Mire of Jackson, Kay Wall of Orlando, Fla., Cheri Moore of Lichfield, England, Sharon Eller of Canton and Leigh Ann O’Mire Walker of Dallas.
