Augustine Hall

NATCHEZ — Services for Augustine H. Hall, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 22, 2010, at her residence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clifton Marvel officiating.

Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Hamburg under the direction of Curtis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hall was born in Roxie, the daughter of Julius W. Hannon and Carrie Hannon. She attended Franklin County public schools, Prentiss Institute and Worsham Mortuary School of Science.

She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer and on the Trustee Board.

Mrs. Hall was retired and enjoyed fishing, sewing and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Madeline Huff, Pearl Hannon and Hazel Hannon; one brother, Julius M. Hannon Jr.; two nephews, Robert Hannon and Roosevelt Huff; one niece, Shelly Hannon; and one sister-in-law, Marzell A. Hannon.

Survivors include one niece who she raised as her daughter, Joyce Hannon Tyler and husband, Melvin, of Jackson; three nephews, Julius Hannon and wife, Debra, and Kenny Ray Hannon, all of Natchez, and Johnnie Hannon and wife, Glenda; one niece, Archie D. Hall of Gretna, La.; one godson, George Abbott Tabbs of New York; one godsister, Margaret Byrd; one godbrother, Robert Taylor; one sister-in-law, Margie Hall; friend, Mary A. Curtis; 10 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
