CROSBY – Services for Charles Nettles Jr., 72, of Crosby, who died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell Methodist Church with the Rev. Jackie Moulder officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the church.
Mr. Nettles was born June 13, 1937, in Crosby, the son of Charles Monroe Nettles and Ina Mae Robinson Nettles. He was retired from the U.S. Forestry Service as a forestry technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and one half-brother.
Survivors include one brother, James Nettles and wife, Betty, of Crosby; two half-sisters, Mildred Simpson of St. Francisville, La., and Pearl Patt of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.
