RIDGECREST — Services for Mary Bowser Lyons, 80, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lyons was born Oct. 11, 1929, in New Orleans, the daughter of Isaac and Emma Brown Bowser.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Percy Lyons Sr.; and one brother, Isaac Bowser.

Survivors include one son, Percy Lyons Jr. and wife, Leontine, of Geismar, La.; three daughters, Frances Moore of New Orleans, Helen Lyles and Catherine Cartwright and husband, Oliver, all of Vidalia; two girls she raised as her own, Mary Ann Bowser and Jackie L. Dixon, both of Vidalia; two brothers, James Bowser and wife, Alphoan, of Ferriday and Clarence T. Hudson of Vidalia; one sister, Mercedees Taylor of Vidalia; one sister-in-law, Ruth Davis of Seattle, Wash.; one aunt, Henrietta James of Natchez; three godchildren, Rhonda Milligan of Ferriday, Lillian Williams and Brian Seals, both of Vidalia; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
