NATCHEZ — Services for the Rev. Duncan Albert “D.A.” Green Jr., 65, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 18, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. today at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sibley with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mark No. 2 Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Rev. Green was born Aug. 3, 1944, in Natchez, the son of Duncan Green Sr. and Willie Mae Green. He was a graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School and attended Alcorn State University. He was self-employed as a brick mason.
Rev. Green was the pastor of Old China Grove Baptist Church in St. Joseph, La.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Green; four daughters, Ladreine E. Price and husband, Milton, of Baton Rouge, Rochelle Green and husband, Marty, of Natchez, Jennifer Turner of Jackson and LaQuanda Green of Atlanta; four sons, Duncan Green III of Atlanta, Jimmy Turner and wife, Shumeka, of Kennesaw, Ga., Ronald Green and wife, Stephanie, of Spokane, Wash., and Calvin Green and wife, Naomi, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; three brothers, Danny Green of Dallas, David Green and wife, Diane, and Donald Green and wife, Harriett, all of Natchez; one sister, Ruth Holden and husband, Albert, of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
