WOODVILLE — Services for Mary E. Lawrence, 91, of Woodville, who died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at her residence, will be at noon today at Bleakhouse Baptist Church with the Rev. Reginald Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Williams and Williams Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Lawrence was a deaconess at Bleakhouse Baptist Church, a member of the Missionary Society and Benevolent Lodge. She was a Sunday School teacher, treasurer and church custodian. She was also a member of the NAACP.
Survivors include three daughters, Rosie M. Johnson of Woodville, Lizzie Lacey of Rialto, Calif. and Barbara Lawrence of Jamaica, N.Y.; two sons, Lee Gusta Lawrence and wife, Ann of Jamaica, N.Y. and Wiley Lawrence and wife, Dorothy of Long Island, N.Y.. three sisters, Marcello Reed and Ollie Webb of Woodville and Jessie B. Kirkley and husband, Joe; four brothers, Charles James, Herbert Mason James and Robert James, all of Woodville and Henry Lee James of Wedgefield, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren.
