FERRIDAY — A memorial celebration for Charles Edward Bowman Jr., 37, who died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, will be at noon Wednesday at Trinity Christian Fellowship in New Orleans with the Rev. Edwin C. Scott officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum in New Orleans.

Arrangements are under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Bowman was born Oct. 22, 1974, in New Orleans, the son of Charles E. Bowman Sr. and Odeal Allen Bowman. He was a devoted father, loving son, cherished brother and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, the Rev. Murphy and Willie Mae Bowman and Irma Hagan Allen and Robert Riley.

Survivors include his beloved father of St. Francisville, La., and beloved mother of Vidalia; one sister, Cheryl Bowman of Chicago; one nephew, Walter A. Watson; one brother, Charlie LaCoste; six children, Bria, Charles, Corriana, Irvirine, Charleston and Caiden; two grandchildren, Rickia and Jayden Charles; a devoted companion, Bianca Coster; a number of aunts including Jennie T. Hagan of Vidalia; a number of uncles including Archie Hagan of Vidalia and Mayor Gene Allen of Ferriday; and a number of cousins and other relatives.
