MCCALL CREEK — Services for Bertha Mae Keys Wells, 80, of McCall Creek, who died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today, with a wake service from 6 to 8 p.m., both at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Wells was born Jan. 22, 1930, in Franklin County, the daughter of Emanuel and Gussie Sanders Keys. She was a member of Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board and the Mother Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sylvester Wells; one son, Robert “Sam” Jones; and one sister, Barbara Cameron.
Survivors include one loving daughter, Dr. Selma Wells; two devoted sons, Homer Wells and wife, Debra, and Billy Jones and wife, Eunice; five granddaughters, Carla Bell and husband, Gerry, Felicia Jones O’Quinn, Kayunda Jones, MeKissa Webb and K’Angela Bates; one grandson, Ardenus “Bo” Tillman; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
