NATCHEZ — Services for Delora Burdan King, 92, of Natchez, who died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at her residence, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Cosby officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. King was born Nov. 26, 1917, in Mount George, Ark., the daughter of Edgar Burdan and Beulah McDaniel Burdan. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, James L. King; one sister, Faye George Bryant; four brothers, Ernest Burdan, Emmett Burdan, Homer Burdan and Robert “Babe” Burdan; and one great-grandchild, Khandi Angel Walsworth.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean Walsworth and husband, James, of Natchez; three grandchildren, Jamie Walsworth and wife, Darlene, and Jeremy Walsworth and wife, Denise, all of Vidalia, and Stephanie W. Burnette and husband, Vernon, of St. Francisville, La.; and six great-grandchildren, Brooke Walsworth, Jacob Brown, Zack Brown, Hunter Walsworth, Rutger Walsworth and Blake Walsworth.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Walsworth, Jeremy Walsworth, Vernon Burnette, Jacob Brown, Zack Brown, Hunter Walsworth and Rutger Walsworth.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Purple Hat Ladies.
