John O. Kirby
April 14, 1912 – Aug. 22, 1999
MEADVILLE – Services for John O. &uot;Jack&uot; Kirby, 87, of Meadville, who died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 8 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Kirby was born April 14, 1912, in Ann Arbor, Mich., the son of John O. Kirby and Catherine Maux.
He was a retired U.S. Forester and served in the U.S. Army. He was a Catholic.
Mr. Kirby was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes Kirby of Meadville; one step-son and his wife, Leroy and Pat Smith of Columbus; one step-daughter and her husband, Pat and Kirby Halford of Bude; two cousins, Alice Kirby of Virginia and Mary K. Kirby of Michigan; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Lawrence Pork
June 12, 1923 – Aug. 20, 1999
WOODVILLE – Services for Lawrence Pork, 76, of Woodville, who died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Allen Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Darline White Pickett officiating.
Burial will be in the Ceder Rest Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Anderson Funeral Home.
Mr. Pork was born June 12, 1923, in Woodville, the son of Willie Pork and Mattie Odessa Pork.
He was a self-employed butcher and a member of Allen Chapel Methodist Church.
Mr. Pork was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sisters, Margrat Herbert of Stocklin, Calif., and Zodie Gooch Berkeley of Calif.; one grandson, Darren Davis of Woodville; one niece, Johnnye Mae Porter of Woodville; and one nephew, Jamas Porter of Los Angeles.
Audrey Elaine Corley Brandenburg

VIDALIA, La. – Services for Audrey Elaine Corley Brandenburg, 76, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Ronald Hall officiating.
Burial will be in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.
Mrs. Brandenburg was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Frances Brandenburg Sr.; one daughter, Audrey Ann Stewart; and one son, Charles Edward Brandenburg.
Survivors include three sons, William Brandenburg of Vidalia, Oliver Brandenburg of Sicily Island and Benny Brandenburg of Natchez; one daughter, Mary Curry of Vidalia; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Cain of Vidalia; a brother, H.L. Corley of Ridgecrest.
Pallbearers will be Benny Brandenburg Jr., Terry Wroten, Brad Welch, Nicky Brandenburg, Clifford Brandenburg and Larry Barnes Jr.
Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Brandenburg.
Faye Barber Montgomery
Nov. 6, 1910 – Aug. 22, 1999
FERRIDAY, La. – Services for Faye Barber Montgomery, 88, of Sicily Island, who died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at noon Wednesday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cindy Graber officiating.
Burial will be in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Montgomery was born Nov. 6, 1910, in Summerfield, the daughter of William Merrell and Alice Raley Barber.
She was a long time resident of Sicily Island and a member of First United Methodist Church in Sicily Island. She also retired from the Ferriday Hospital as a medical technician.
Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Montgomery; one daughter, Barbara Faye Martin; and one granddaughter, Sharon Faye Jackson.
Survivors include one grandson, Raymond Jackson of Conroe, Texas; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be R.G. Price, Richard Price, Marvin Nolan Jr., A.B. Chisum Jr., Clarendon Peck Jr. and Roy Evans.
