The WCCA Rams were hoping to finally get a victory after they lost their first two games.
Not only did that not happen, but they also got blown out for the second straight week, losing to Prentiss Christian 35-7 Friday night.
The Rams’ only touchdown came on a three-yard run by Josh Prince in the third quarter. Stephen McVea added the extra point to close to 14-7.
However, it was pretty much Prentiss Christian that dominated the ball game, gaining 328 yards of total offense, 281 of that in rushing yards, and holding the Rams to 152 total yards.
Prentiss Christian scored on a 15-yard pass from Adam Napier to Clint Fortenberry in the first quarter, a Blake Bass one-yard run in the second quarter, a Bass 40-yard run in the third quarter, and a Clay Garner one-yard run and a Justin Robbins 34-yard run in the fourth quarter.
McVae led WCCA in rushing with 74 yards on 19 carries. Clint Flowers had two catches for 29 yards. Brandon Farrar had 10 tackles and Rusty Kleinpeter had seven tackles on defense.
WCCA dropped to 0-3 while Prentiss Christian improved to 1-2.
