CHA routs University Christian

Chamberlain Hunt Academy jumped out to a 27-0 first-half lead and cruised to an easy 42-7 win over University Christian in a District 4A game Friday night.
Matthew Burrell led CHA’s rushing attack with 134 yards on 12 carries and one offensive touchdown. He also scored on a three-yard interception return in the first quarter.
Chamberlain Hunt had 377 of its 471 total yards on the ground. Darien McFatter completed three of seven passes for 94 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
&uot;The kids are maturing and getting better every week,&uot; said CHA head coach Bo &uot;Lum&uot; Wright. CHA broke the game open in the second quarter on a one-yard run by Sam McLemore, a 49-yard run by Derek Greer and a 38-yard pass from McFatter to Greer, who had two catches for 62 yards.
University Christian scored late in the second quarter on a 48-yard pass from Jase Conway to Joel Ruel.
CHA then scored in the third quarter on a two-yard run by McLemore and in the fourth quarter on a 74-yard run by Burrell.
Jordan Hammond led CHA (6-2) with seven tackles and four interceptions.
Chamberlain Hunt improved to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in district.
