NATCHEZ — Services for Frank Jackson Jr., 78, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. today at King Solomon Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddie Schiele officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson was born May 19, 1934, in Natchez, the son of Walter Frank Jackson Sr. and Carrie Jones Jackson. He worked as chief attendant/surgery assistant of the former Jefferson Davis Hospital and Natchez Regional Medical Center until his retirement.
Mr. Jackson was a deacon and lifelong member of the King Solomon Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert Lewis Jackson; two brothers, Clarence Jackson and Morris Green; and two sisters, Verena Jackson Brown and Ruthie Mae Jackson Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Naomi Bernard Jackson; four children, Lenora Jackson Isaac of Breaux Bridge, La., Arlene Warner and husband, Carter, of Vidalia, Shelia Bowman and husband, Bernard, of Sugarland, Texas and Frank Jackson III of Natchez; eight grandchildren, Randy Frazier Jr. and wife, Tiffany, of Houston, Texas, Markus Wilson of Denver, Colo., Michael Frazier and wife, Becky, of Allen, Texas, Omari Stephens, Kendra White, Keldrin Rydolph and Jessica White, all of Sugarland, Texas, and Frankron Elery of Baton Rouge; one brother, Robert Jackson and wife, Jackie; one sister, Betty Hargrave Carradine, all of Natchez; one godson, Christopher Spencer; and a number of devoted nieces, nephews, relatives and caring friends.
