JONESVILLE — A Ferriday man was killed late Thursday night when the propane truck he was driving ran off the roadway and overturned.
Louisiana State Police said Randolph L. Coleman, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Louisiana 124, just south of Jonesville.
Coleman was driving his 1995 Mack truck east when he lost control and partially ran off the left side of the road. He returned to the eastbound lane, but overcorrected and exited the left again, overturning.
He was not wearing a seat belt, according to a state police spokesman, and was ejected from the vehicle.
His truck was loaded with 600 galloons of propane, but none of it was released in the accident.
Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
