AMITE, La. — Jordan Parker can’t be stopped, nor contained, apparently.
After getting the lone goal of the game Monday night against Copiah Academy, Parker scored both goals for Adams County Christian School in the Lady Rebels’ 2-0 win against Oak Forest Academy Tuesday.
Parker scored her first goal in the 32nd minute off an assist by by Mollie Simpson. In the 68th minute, she dribbled past Oak Forests’ back defenders and slipped the ball into the corner of the net with the keeper charging.
ACCS finished with 27 shots on goal, while Oak Forest had 20. Keeper Emily Williams had the shutout.
“At first, I think we came out a little bit overconfident, and we finally settled into a rhythm in about the 25th minute,” head coach Jimmy Allgood said. “From there to the end of regulation, I think the girls played very aggressive defense and offense.”
ACCS will play at 4 p.m. today at Brookhaven Academy.
