Two die in Catahoula wreck

HARRISONBURG — Two men were killed and another injured following a Saturday crash in Catahoula Parish.
The single vehicle accident happened on Louisiana 124 near Harrisonburg at approximately 1:15 p.m.
The 1990 Acura Integra driven by Fred Hatten, 57, was eastbound and passing another eastbound vehicle on Louisiana 124 when Hatten overcorrected into the eastbound lane and lost control of the vehicle, according to a news release from the Louisiana State Police.
Hatten’s vehicle exited the left side of the road and overturned several times. He was now wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, Korey Washington, 41, was not wearing a seat belt and was also pronounced dead.
Hatten’s other passenger, Fred B. Hatten Jr., 27, was not wearing a seat belt and received moderate injuries, the release said. Hatten Jr. was transported to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
