Natchez has another act of vandalism to add to its list for the week.

An unknown suspect did more than $2,000 of damage to the Duncan Park Golf Course late Thursday or early Friday. Natchez Police Chief Willie Huff said someone drove a vehicle onto the course and did damage to the grounds. &uot;That’s another act of someone not being responsible,&uot; he said.

This incident follows at least 10 reports of tire slashings in the area of East Woodlawn and Claiborne streets. Kelvin Jones, 18, 583B Lower Woodville Road was charged with some of those offenses.

Anyone with information on the park damage can call Crime Stoppers at 442-5000. All calls are anonymous and a reward could be available.
