ROXIE — Services for David Carradine Sr., 80, of Hammond, La., who died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at East Roxie Church of Christ, in Roxie, with the Rev. Isaac Tenner officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Stampley under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Carradine was born March 5, 1932, in Fayette, the son of Anthony and Emily Thompson Carradine. He was a member of Pear Ridge Church of Christ in Hammond.
Mr. Carradine was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Rosie Turner, Martha Dunlap and Mary Sanders; and three brothers, Willie Carradine, James Carradine and Joseph Carradine.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Vencie Griggs Carradine; one daughter, Elissa Carradine; two sons, David Carradine Jr. and wife, Frances, and Anthony Carradine and wife, Adrienne; one stepson, Ray Griggs; two sisters, Mildred Graves and Clara Reed; one brother, John Carradine; two special sisters-in-law, Dorothy Carradine and Gloria Chester; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
