NATCHEZ — The news in the Miss-Lou is on the go. Starting today, taking the newspaper with you no longer involves stuffing it in your back pocket. Now you can carry the news in your pocket.
Delivery of The Democrat’s latest news and information takes a new turn with the natchezdemocrat.com mobile edition.
Instead of waiting for the news to hit their doorsteps each morning or finding the nearest personal computer, residents may now access the latest information about the Miss-Lou from their Internet-capable cell phones.
The new mobile edition at natchezdemocrat.com/mobile will give users access to the latest news and sports stories as well as the day’s Tracings, The Natchez Democrat’s popular daily calendar of events. When news breaks, you can access the latest information from the mobile edition, too.
Designed especially for the Apple iPhone, the Blackberry Curve and other smart phones, the new mobile edition offers a simplified list of stories without the large photos and graphics that can extend page loading times over cell phone networks.
“The new mobile edition provides our readers with another convenient and easy way to access the area’s No. 1 news source, no matter where they are,” said Democrat Web Editor Ben Hillyer.
