During the precinct caucuses, voters will elect a permanent chairman and secretary at the precinct level.

Voters will then select delegates and alternates to the county convention.

The number of delegates depends upon the number of votes cast in the last election, Robinson said.

Voters at the county convention select the delegates to the district convention. They, in turn, select delegates to the state convention, and those delegates select the national delegates.

Voters at the county convention also elect the members of the Adams County Democratic Executive Committee.

Robinson encouraged voters to participate &uot;to be a part of the political process and have an idea how it works and have a chance to be elected to the Democratic Executive Committee.&uot;

A training session for current county executive committee members will be held at 7 p.m. today at the board of supervisors meeting room. Committee members will get their packets and an explanation of the caucus process, Robinson said.

Sam Blackmun, a state Democratic Executive Committee member, will provide the training for county committee members.

Robinson said the executive committee members are encouraged to attend.
