WOODVILLE — Services for Willie Howard Ross Sr., 84, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Woodville, who died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2012, from injuries sustained in an auto accident near Port Hudson, East Baton Rouge Parish, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilkinson County High School in Woodville with the Rev. Harold Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Cedar Rest Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Ross was born Jan. 21, 1928, in Woodville, the son of Howard and Mary Elizabeth Ward Ross. He was a retired construction worker and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Sadie L. LeBlanc.

Survivors include his wife, Veolor Scott Ross; two sons, John Henry Ross and wife, Dorothy Jean, of Woodville and Willie H. Ross Jr. of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Betty Simon and husband, Hayward, of Lake Charles, La., and Jacquelyn Washington and husband, Eric, of Baton Rouge; five brothers, David Ross, Grover Ross, Melvin Ross, Fred Ross and Orville Ross; two sisters, Lela E. Wright and Vivian Pate, all of Chicago; one son-in-law, Ernest LeBlanc of Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
