Adams County Justice Court Cases
Week of Aug. 31-Sept. 6:
Daryl Turner charged with burglary. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Michael L. Carter charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance and fleeing from a law enforcement officer. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Roderick Brady charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Anna King charged with child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Lerry Johnson charged with child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.
Gregory Gibbs guilty of simple assault/domestic violence.
Orlando Gibson guilty of trespassing less than larceny.
Travis Noble guilty of possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.
Guy Bass guilty of simple assault.
Kenneth Ealey guilty of simple assault.
Adams County Circuit Court Cases
Monday, Aug. 27:
Jessie Lee Johnson post-release supervision revoked in Judge Forest “Al” Johnson’s court after he freely admitted to the court that he was in violation by willfully failing to report. The court found from the evidence that the defendant was clearly in violation of the terms of his supervision. The defendant must serve the remaining balance of his sentence in the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
Natchez Municipal Court Cases
Friday, Aug. 24:
Marcellus Brooks, 48, charged with disturbing the peace. Case remanded to files for one year and dismissed after one year.
Felicia D. Weatherly, 30, pleaded guilty to amended charge of no driver’s license in possession. Sentenced to five days suspended. Fine set at $325.
Natamasha N. Hawkins, 33, pleaded guilty to running a red light through aunt with letter. Notice was given to aunt for pay date. Fine set at $140. Hawkins also pleaded guilty to driving under suspension — revoked or suspended through aunt with letter. Notice was given to aunt for day date. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $425.
Sheena C. Warner, 27, charged with window tint violation. Warner was also charged with tag improperly display. Both were reduced to warnings by officer.
Monday, Aug. 27:
Aaron Curtis, 46, pleaded guilty to reduced charge of misdemeanor simple assault – domestic violence 2nd offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 53 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. To serve seven days in jail. Fine set at $850.
Colton Overby charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case dismissed – had proof of prescription. Medicine to be returned.
Hannah Ruth Holmes pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace – domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $494.
Billy Dean Davis pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace – domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $494.
Wednesday, Aug. 29:
John Groue III, 29, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $444.
Friday, Aug. 31:
Karen Evette Calvin, 42, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Banned from K-Mart. Fine set at $444.
Matthew McGhee, 26, pleaded guilty to public drunkenness. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $294 minus $125 credit for time served. Must pay a fine of $169.
Stephen Martin pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident. Fine set at $210.
Darryl Hill pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days with 29 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 24 hours in jail. Fine set at $594.
Wednesday, Sept. 5:
Ashley Nicole Brown, 29, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $369.
Keith Matthews, 28, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace by fighting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $344. Matthews was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. That case was remanded to files at request of officer.
Keandra Knight, 22, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace by fighting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $344.
Cryshala Pernell, 21, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace by fighting. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $344.
Ryvonda S. Dunlap, 19, charged with disturbing the peace by fighting. Bench warrant for failure to appear.
James Ellis Williams, 46, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $394.
Claude Dillon Jr., 51, charged with indecent exposure. Case remanded to files on request of officer if not anything filed in Chancery Court.
Jasmine Shantae Miller, 22, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $344.
Glen O’Neal, 44, pleaded not guilty to public drunkenness.
Lisa Michelle Ferrington, 37, pleaded guilty to public drunkenness. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $294.
Savon T. Anderson, 19, pleaded guilty to improper equipment — headlights. Fine set at $130. Anderson, also pleaded guilty to failure to obey blue light and audible siren. Fine set at $150.
Amanda Watts pleaded guilty to public profanity. Fine set at $250.
Jessie Hunt Jr. pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace – domestic violence. Fine set at $494.
