Vidalia and Crowville just can’t seem to decide who is going to win District 3-2A in baseball or softball. Vidalia’s softball game with Crowville, which was a continuation of an earlier contest stopped by rain, was rained out.
The two teams were 0-0 in the sixth inning when the weather stopped action in Vidalia last month. The Lady Vikings beat Crowville in Crowville.
The final innings will be made up today at 3:05 p.m. at Vidalia, if possible.
All softball games are scheduled to be completed by midnight tonight.
If today’s game cannot be played, a format for the district title may be invoked.
Vidalia High’s baseball game at Crowville was also rained out for the second time this year.
That contest has been moved to Saturday at 1 p.m. in Crowville.
Vidalia’s home game with Winnsboro Saturday has been cancelled. The Vikings play at McCall today and host Ferriday Friday.
Vidalia and Crowville are both unbeaten in district.
Crowville comes to Vidalia High next Thursday.
Huntington’s tennis match against Tallulah and Franklin County’s softball game against St. Aloysius were also rained out.
Franklin County is hosting the division tournament next week.
