Sebron Jones Sr.
RUSSUM — Services for Sebron Jones Sr., 91, who died Friday, April 28, 2000, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Morningstar Baptist Church with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.
Burial will be in the McCay Cemetery in Russum under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson.
Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from noon until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Jones was a member and deacon of Morningstar Baptist Church and a member of the Baptist Aid.
Survivors include a son, Sebron Jones Jr. of Port Gibson; two daughters, Lola Alexander-Davis of Port Gibson and Dora Tidwell of Chicago; three brothers, Ira Jones, Nathan Jones and Eddie Duffin, all of Port Gibson; a sister, Emma Brandon of Port Gibson; 22 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including three grandchildren that he raised, Cynthia Velez of Dallas-Fort Worth, Charles Cossett of Jackson and Marlon Jones of Biloxi. &160;
Allean Coleman
PORT GIBSON — Services for Allean Coleman, 44, who died Saturday, April 29, 2000, in Claiborne County, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Beechland Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank McGriggs officiating.
Burial will be in the Carbondale Cemetery in Lorman under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson.
Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Coleman was a member of Beechland Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, DeSean Coleman, Lamar C. Brown and Marvin Brown, all of Port Gibson; three daughters, Aileen B. Brown, Erica I. Brown and Ladonna A. Brown, all of Port Gibson; eight brothers, Robert L. Coleman of Hattiesburg, Charles Eaddy Jr., Dannie Eaddy, Allen Jones Jr., Nathaniel Jones, David Jones, Ronnie Jones, all of Port Gibson and Walter Jones of Tallahassee, Fla.; five sisters, Barbara Johnson, Carolyn Coleman, Gloria Eaddy, Eunice Eaddy and Annette Eaddy, all of Port Gibson; six uncles, Henry Atlas, Martin Coleman, Ira Jones, Nathan Jones and Eddie Duffin, all of Port Gibson and Morris Atlas of Danbury, Conn.; four aunts, Earnestine Alexander, Lillie Scott and Emma Brandon, all of Port Gibson and Susan Martinez of New York, N.Y.; one grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lula Mae Anderson
Feb. 29, 1932 — April 29, 2000
FAYETTE — Services for Lula Mae Anderson, 68, of Natchez, who died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Anderson was born Feb. 29, 1932, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Simon and Beulah Anderson.
She was a retired educator with AJFC-Headstart and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, the Usher Board and Willing Workers.
Survivors include two sons, Harvey Lee and wife, Karen Anderson of Natchez and Joe Anderson of Fayette; two daughters, Geneva Anderson and Elizabeth A. and husband, Jimmy Dale Hall of Natchez; two brothers and wives, Joe and Murlee Anderson and Harvey Lee and Bessie Anderson of Natchez; three sisters, Geneva Ross and Carro Lee Frye of Natchez and Beatrice and Clarence Green of Fayette; eight grandchildren; friend and his daughter, Albert Evans and Arlene E. Hutchins; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Lee Frye, Joey Anderson, Joe Anderson Jr., Clarence Green, S.D. Johnson and Robert Tenner.
Edward Reeves
March 23, 1937 — May 1, 2000
SICILY ISLAND, La. — Graveside services for Edward Reeves, 63, of Clayton, who died Monday, May 1, 2000, in Pineville, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Reeves was born March 23, 1937, in Newellton, the son of Jeff Ray and Eunice Mae Kelly Reeves.
He was a retired oilfield specialist and a member of Ferriday First Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Reeves of Ferriday; two daughters, Angela McElroy of Roxie and Laura Smith of Lorman; three stepsons, Donnie Cupstid Jr. of Ferriday, Ronnie Cupstid of Clayton and Shane Cupstid of Ferriday; two sisters, Evelyn Bowers of Jackson and Barbara Benoit of Crowley; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and his parents, Jeff and Mae Reeves of Clayton.
Pallbearers will be James Decker, Tommy McElroy Jr., Craig Orr, Enoch Orr, Robert Cummings and William A. Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby &uot;Buddy&uot; Maples and Jeffery Folmer.
